Becoming a Training Practice
If you want to be able to train your own staff as veterinary nurses you will need to become a recognised Training and Assessment Practice (TP) or an Auxiliary Training Practice (aTP). To do this you will need to be approved by a recommended centre such as CAW.
CAW was the first centre to become able to offer these approvals and has now become the largest centre in the UK, consequently the package and level of support offered by CAW is second to none.
We offer a service that is used by over 500 veterinary practices. It has been designed to be cost effective, minimise disruption in practice and be simple but effective. Becoming a training practice with CAW will mean your students can stay with you and then attend their VN training on a block-release basis. To become a training practice you will need to complete a Training Practice application form and return this to us here at CAW. We will then arrange a time to view your practice via video link and ask you to supply the evidence needed to ensure you fulfil the necessary requirements. Once we are satisfied we can then recommend to the RCVS for approval to be granted.
Supporting you and your employees
Here at CAW we will do everything we can to ensure that both you and your team are provided with a service that is beneficial at all levels. Our aim is to improve animal welfare standards across the world by training staff to thrive and businesses to expand.
To achieve this we are dedicated to helping organisations access the training that best meets their needs. We ensure that all learners are taught, assessed and verified by appropriately qualified staff.
We recognise that for the individual to succeed a strong three way relationship is needed between the employer, the student and the college.
This is why our dedicated team are available to offer support and guidance to everyone throughout the learning process. To find out more please view our full Client Charter.
